Founded in 1907, W.A. Whitney's main office and manufacturing facilities are located in Rockford, Illinois with worldwide sales and service offices in Canada and Mexico. In the 1970's, W.A. Whitney Co., was purchased by Esterline Technologies, a NYSE company headquartered in Bellevue, Washington. Thirty years later they were purchased by Mega Mfg., owners of Piranha Fab (Pressbrakes, Shears, & Ironworkers_ and Bertsch (Plate Rolls). Quality, service and performance has earned W.A. Whitney a dominant market share and a very well respected reputation. They are well positioned to continue being the leader in plate technology.
