Productivity modules are designed to help users become more productive and reduce operating costs. The modular design of MTC Software gives users the needed flexibility to choose the Productivity module(s) that benefits them for their specific process and application. Specific benefits of these modules include reduced cut cycle time, elimination of machine down-time from head crashes, reduced scrap from out-of-tolerance parts, improved nest utilization and reduced material handling. Productivity modules may be used individually to provide substantial savings or together to give even greater return on investment.
Automatically or interactively arrange a pair, quad or an array of parts together so that they share a common edge cut. The result is a reduction in pierce cycles and cut time.
Advanced Common Line Cutting
Automatically or interactively common line cut an unlimited amount of parts together. Parts can easily be snapped together and rearranged to produce any common line cut configuration. The result is a reduction in pierce cycles and cut time.
Chain Cutting
Creates cut paths between parts’ lead-outs and lead-ins in order to connect them together. This allows the development of a single, continuous cutting path for multiple parts which reduces production time (elimination of pierce cycles) and consumable costs.
Bridge Cutting
Creates bridging cuts (2 parallel lines) between parts which connect them. This allows for the development of a single, continuous cutting path for multiple parts which reduces production time (elimination of pierce cycles) and consumable costs.
Collision Avoidance
Eliminates the chance of torch collisions and can significantly reduce production time. This is accomplished through a combination of moving lead in/out positions, developing avoidance paths around possible tip-up situations, and by using partial or full torch raises
Variable Multi-Head Cutting
Automatically adjusts both the number of cutting heads and the spacing used based on the size of the part being nested.
Work Zones
Adds support for machines that require plate repositioning. Nesting and cut sequencing are controlled by both the machine's work area (work zone) and any reposition restrictions.
Skeleton Cut-Up
Manually or automatically divide your plate scrap into sections (can be cut before or after the nest).
Part Cut-Up
Manually or automatically divide a part into sections so that it can fit on a plate.
Entity Smoothing & Reduction
This feature combines multiple small line and arc entities from CAD drawings into larger ones based on a user-defined smoothing tolerance. This can improve cut quality and significantly reduces CNC file size.
