As material costs continue to rise and the investment in material inventories becomes ever-more scrutinized, MTC’s range of Material and Inventory Optimization tools become ever-more valuable. These modules have been developed to have a direct impact on use of material; helping to reduce costs by improving utilizations, increasing inventory turnover, allowing parts from different jobs to be nested and cut from the same piece of material and reduce scrap parts by allowing up-front nest-based clarification of material defect zones. All of these factors contribute to the bottom line making the investment in Material and Inventory Optimization modules an easy decision. Modules may be used individually to provide substantial savings or together to give even greater return on investment.
Nest Background Image
Ideal for applications where source material has surface defects. Users take a digital picture of the material, and then superimpose the image onto the ProNest work area, allowing manual nesting to occur around any blemishes.
Custom Remnants
Allows you to create your own custom remnant based on a series of points. These points can be specified in either absolute or incremental coordinates. These remnants can then be added to your plate list for immediate nesting or stored in the optional Plate Inventory.
Part Inventory
Provides fully integrated, Microsoft Access or SQL, ODBC compatible part and assembly inventory databases. It enables the creation of user part and assembly libraries that can be accessed quickly inside of ProNest.
Plate Inventory
Provides fully integrated, Microsoft Access or SQL, ODBC compatible plate inventory database. Plate inventory enables nesting on stock, remnant, skeleton, and users defined plates, in any combination. Custom remnants or those created by interactive or automatic cropping and skeletons can be automatically added to the plate inventory.
Nesting System Optimization
Automatically selects the best plate or set of plates given a set of nesting strategies and plates. Each nesting result is scored based on factors such as utilization, plate type, plate age, production cost and much more. Support for cut-to-length (coil line) is included.
